- The Knight Riders batted with a plan. After losing Gautam Gambhir early, the veteran Jacques Kallis and Manish Pandey played smartly. They built their innings and then went on rampage, which took Mumbai Indians bowlers by a surprise. Robin Uthappa and Shakib-al-Hasan couldn't score but it was due to the less availability of balls. Yusuf Pathan is not in the team for this match as he has gone to be with his wife, who has given birth to their baby boy. However, there are enough players in the team who can fill in his position.
